GoWear Fit

Ever since I figured out what they were wearing on The Biggest Loser I just had to have one.
Well theirs in a BodyBugg and mine is a GoWear Fit but they are the same. Mine just doesn't tie into 24Hour Fitness. Which is fine because I don't belong to that gym anyway. I haven't always been a heavy person in fact I have only been heavy for three years. I am just tired of being like this. You know where someone takes a photo of you and then uploads it to Facebook. You stumble across the photo and say OMG is that what I really look like. Well that finally happened to me this year, a lovely photo of me at Christmas and what am I doing in the photo? Standing in the kitchen with food... So after the tears and the anger of why did this person post this awful photo of me, I decided to change it. I haven't always been big so I do know how to get small.  I researched the internet for the BodyBugg and came across the GoWear Fit on Amazon. I read all the reviews I could get my hands on, after all the best way to buy things are by reviews. So with all the positive reviews I took the plunge. I bought the GoWear Fit and the display to go with it. I eagerly waited for it to come in, the display came in within 2 days. The arm band piece didn't come until 8 or 9 days later. Gosh I thought it would never get here. So I run upstairs, charge it and download the software.  After all that was done I put it on, it is comfortable but I am still in the "I know its there stage". I have been wearing it for a week and have lost about 3 pounds. I have it set for targets like 3810 calories to burn a day although I have yet to meet that one.  45 minutes of moderate activity and 15 minutes of vigorous activity. After the first day of wearing it I wondered how I can get to the vigorous activity, I found that jumping rope is a quick way to get that done. As for the moderate activity I do my EA Sports Active More Workouts and that takes care most of it plus I get some vigorous activity out of that too.  (I'll talk more about EA Sports Active More Workouts later)  Then I have steps taken I have mine set to 10000 steps a day. All I did before was sit on my couch watching the Price Is Right and Lets Make A Deal so 10000 steps is probably about 9950 more that I was taking ha ha. You know count the steps to the fridge and the bathroom. That a bit of an exaggeration , I do go get my kids from school and other things but I know I wasn't taking 10k in steps before. After I put on the GoWear Fit I began to keep track of my activity, I have started walking in circles in my garage. It sounds lame walking in circles but any walking helps I am sure. So I am meeting my 10k in steps and will probably up it to 15k in steps in a few days. The next thing is tracking your sleep, the first night I only got 6 hours of sleep and laid down for 9 so it was 72% for that night. Its gotten better since then though, like last night was 92%.  I like this feature, so does my husband who has talked about putting mine on for the night to see how his sleep is. The last feature is nutrition which BodyMedia is lacking in, their catalog is so small it doesn't even have grapefruit in it. I think I will have to use something like The Daily Plate to log my food. Overall I give GoWear Fit two thumbs up so far. I will continue to wear it and update this blog on how its going with it.
So for my starting weight I am 5'8 199.0lbs
My goal is to get to 140.0 which up until 3 years ago was my normal.
Tomorrow I will talk about my EA Sports Active More Workouts
